JACQUI SUTTON

Genre creator

Jazz Times describes Jacqui as having "the majesty of a voice that marries the earthiness of Cassandra Wilson to the warmth of Dianne Reeves."

As a singer and composer, Jacqui is in constant conversation between urban and rural America, between jazz and bluegrass music. By bringing the two sounds together, she created her own genre: Frontier Jazz | where Jazz meets the American Frontier.

Jacqui is a 2024 cohort member of the Beth Morrison Projects Producer Academy.
