Released in 2012, Notes from the Frontier is subtitled, "a Musical Journey," and explores the possibilities of more deeply integrating bluegrass into the jazz sound. Notes marked my arranging debut.
In 2010, I asked "What are the possibilities of combining jazz and bluegrass, not just instrumentally, but vocally as well?" The answer was my first release, Billie & Dolly, an homage to my two vocal heroines: Billie Holiday and Dolly Parton.
